Permanent Marker Removal

Crude Oil Tar Removal
With just a few wipes, the 1:14 dilution of STEPOSOL® CITRI-MET, containing 96% water, completely removes the baked on mixed crude-oil tar stain. The commercial product specifically made for the job, containing petroleum distillates and glycol ethers, just smears the soil.
After five minutes of soaking, both STEPOSOL CITRI-MET at a 1:14 dilution and a similar product are clearly work. After rinsing, STEPOSOL CITRI-MET almost completely removes the stain. There's just a faint trace left. The other product removes most of the blood stain, but leaves a dark red ring.
Although the harsher 100% solvent on the left works quickly, it can strip the paint from the underlying surface and also smears the paint during removal. STEPOSOL® CITRI-MET at 1:4 dilution, containing 87% water, takes a minute to penetrate spray paint, but minimizes the potential for damage while dissolving the paint for easy removal.
