Stepan collects two types of data: the first is supplied when you complete the registration process, and the second, is collected as you navigate our site. The data entered during the registration process (name, contact information, etc.,) can be changed at any time by using our Registration Services page. We collect the following information as you navigate our site: Last Visit Date, incoming IP Address, accessed PDF’s (Product Bulletins, Material Safety Data Sheets and Formulations) and Search Keywords. You can view all of your collected information at any time via the Registration Services page or by Clicking here.
If you would like Stepan to remove your user data, you can request that action via an email to our Webmaster. This, however, will require you to re-register should you choose to access our PDF's in the future. Click here if you would like your user record deleted.
All information collected is intended for use by Stepan or by our affiliated Distributors only, and will not be sold, traded or distributed to any other outside business unless required by law. The information collected will be used to enhance our web site, improve our operations and to communicate with our users regarding areas of our business that may be of interest to them. Stepan uses Cookies to determine if you have logged on successfully, and without them, our site will not allow you to view any information stored in PDF format: Product Bulletins, Material Safety Data Sheets and Formulations. All other information on the site can be accessed without logging on and the use of cookies.
Cookies are small text files placed on your compter by your browser that are unique to you and can only be read back by our site. The only information that we store on these cookies is your Username (the email address supplied during registration).
Stepan uses two types of cookies; the first is a session cookie and the second is a permanent cookie. The session cookie is only used to determine that you have successfully logged on to our site during that browser session. As soon as you close your browser, this cookie will be deleted. The permanent cookie is used by Stepan to update the "Last Visit Date" on your user record. If this cookie is deleted, you will still be able to access our site - we will just not update the "Last Visit Date" until you successfully logon on to our site again, at which point we will re-create this permanent cookie.
The use of Cookies is secure. Cookies created by our site can only be read by our site. No other site can access your Username/Email Address stored in them.
