Challenge: Biorenewable Polyol for Polyisocyanurate Foams
Reward: $15,000 to $25,000 and an Option to Interview for a Stepan R&D Position
Polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam is a leading material for providing insulation value in construction applications. These foams are produced almost exclusively from petrochemical feed stocks. Stepan Co. is seeking either a stand alone biorenewable polyol or a means of incorporating biorenewable feed stocks into our aromatic polyester polyols (APP's) currently made from phthalic anhydride and diethylene glycol.
Challenge: Green Nonionic Surfactant
As a means of expanding our already substantial product portfolio of surfactant products having a high degree of green or biorenewable content, we are searching for both high foaming and low foaming primary nonionic surfactants with 100% biorenewable carbon content.
